Victoria Singer, the self described champion of womankind, is a "lady" of some (considerable and varied) experience. She refers to herself as "the former wife of her current husband".
Victoria, having tired of Martin for being so stupid, approached the King about getting a divorce. The King, having a similar problem himself, granted the divorce immediately. Whereupon, Martin began ranting and raving and saying that he had paid five pounds and a cow for Victoria and that a divorce was not fair! The King decided that since Martin was being such a bother, that he would stay married to Victoria but that Victoria is a single woman, henceforth. This has come to be known as the Victoria Package. Ask the King about it.
Martin is a simple (and I do mean simple) minstrel. He has two quests. The first is to become a court minstrel. He can't watch Victoria when he is not home. She could be up to anything. His second quest is to finish the divorce that the King started. Oh to be single again! He needs all the help he can get to convince the King.
Martin is also an expert in chivalry and the "proper place" of women. As such, he can provide instruction to husbands so that they can adjust their wives' behavior and attitudes. The men are in charge you know.
