Victoria Singer

Victoria here. Although I am so glad to be at Scarborough Faire again, I am not certain why I travel with Martin since the King has declared that I am single, but Martin is married to me. Oh - now I remember - he provides money, plays the guitar and carries my purchases. I suppose that is reason enough.

Victoria's Mail

Every day at Scarborough is the same as each day outside the realm - the ladies are "in charge". Seeing Martin trying to explain to the men that they are in charge is like watching a salmon swim upstream to spawn - most of them don't make it, and it isn't very entertaining to watch anyway.

Ladies, don't fall victim to allowing your gentlemen to get the little paintings of cleavage all day. Take charge. Get your own little paintings of the magnificent tights and codpieces (if you don't know the meaning of the word I would happy to explain it to you) which can also be seen in the kingdom! If you can let your eyes wander from the obviously most important part of a man's body, (his wallet), be certain to check the shape of his calf. The King does turn a nice calf, if I might be so bold as to mention it.

Let romance rule the day for all us single people. We can flirt and play and dance all the day. Martin tries to keep his eye on me, but I am not always in his clutches! Being a single woman who has a husband is a complicated situation, but it seems to work for us. Martin is docile and mild-mannered and just follows me around to keep me from getting into more trouble than I can handle. I don't really get into trouble so much as just a little harmless mischief...do you believe me?

We have added more songs this year - some funny, some pretty. Please come and see the show soon. It is currently titled "Martin and Victoria", but perhaps later this year it will be changed by popular demand to "Victoria and her husband".
